Rick Duren Wins the Anvil Jaw Open Tournament on Lake

Rick Duren Wins on Lake Hamilton!!!

17 boats fished the last fruit jar Anvil Jaw tournament for 2010. With the
weather being unstable and calling for rain and falling temps, most
fisherman did not know what to expect but were all excited to get out on
the water to fish prior to the holiday season.
At the end of the day, everyone brought fish to the scales but Rick Duren
found the big bite to win the event with a weight of 11.24 lbs.
1st Place - Rick said he caught all his fish on jigs in all ranges of water
depth. His weight of 11.24 lbs also included the big bass of the day of
4.88 lbs.
2nd Place - Rob Stone said he also caught his fish on jigs. 9.03 lbs
3rd place - Ron Plate said he caught his fish mostly on crankbaits and a
few on jigs. His weight was 8.79 lbs.
Balance of the Top Ten was:
4. Nick Mitchell - 8.46 lbs
5. Gary Hubble - 7.69 lbs
6. Will Morris - 7.64 lbs
7. Kevin Myers - 7.52 lbs
8. Doug Shrum - 7.48 lbs
9. Ken Kaczmarek - 7.23 lbs
10. Bill Cerrato - 6.53 lbs
Once again Anvil Jaw Bass Club would like to thank everyone who fished
the fruit Jar Tournaments this fall and hope to see you again in 2011.
Also don’t forget the Anvil Jaw Happy New Year’s Day tournament
January 1 2011. This is a team tournament (But you can fish by yourself,
if you so desire).
$60 entry per boat plus an optional $10 big bass pot. 70% payout with 1
place per 7 boats.
Lake Hamilton at the Game and Fish Ramp, Safe light to 3 PM.
