Kevin Myers Wins the Anvil Jaw Bass Club Tournament
on DeGray Lake

18 anglers showed up bright and early to fish the second Anvil Jaw
tournament for 2009. With the air temps in the mid 40’s and the wind out
of the north the AM take off seemed cold but they all knew it would get
warmer as the day went on.
With the recent rains, they water temps had risen but also added some
stain so many different patterns were going to be tried during the day to
catch fish. But as the day progressed for most of the anglers, no 1
pattern seemed to prevail and a 5 fish limit was a hard thing to come up
with. But at the end of the day there is always a winner and this
tournament that angler was Kevin Myers.
1st Place Kevin Myers 12.38 lbs: Kevin said he caught all his fish on
crankbaits.
2nd place Ron Plate 9.89 lbs: Ron said he caught his fish on rattletraps,
crankbaits and Gitem soft plastics.
3rd place Bill Adams 9.45 lbs: Bill said he caught his fish on jigs.
4th place Tracy Jones 8.37 lbs
5th place Gary Hubble 7.86 lbs.
Big Bass of the day was 5.46 lbs caught by Tom Olson
