Ron Plate Wins Anvil Jaw Bass Club Tournament on Lake

12 fisherman braved the chilly January air to kick off the start of the 2008
Anvil Jaw Bass club season.
Many of the fisherman had been at the lake on January 1st for the Happy
New Year’s tournament and saw a lot of big bags of fish brought to the scales
so they were hoping for the same. However, for whatever reason, the fish just
didn’t want to bite this Saturday and only 3 limits were brought to the scales.
The weights were:
1. Ron Plate 8.30 lbs
2. Jack Woods 8.01 lbs
3. Casey Jones 6.26 lbs
4. Kevin Myers 4.39 lbs
5. Landon Kendrick 4.13 lbs
6. Craig Hoff 3.62 lbs
7. Perry Kincade 1.55 lbs
8. Tracy Jones 1.29 lbs
1st place - Ron Plate caught the big fish of the day (3.83 lbs) on a Lucky Craft
Pointer in about 6 foot of water and the rest of his fish came in 12-15 feet of
water off brush using a 4” senko rigged on a Parasite ¼ oz weight.
2nd place - Jack Woods caught his fish all day on a drop shot rig.
3rd place - Casey Jones said he caught his fish on a Lucky Craft RC 1.5 and a
football Jig.
Next tournament will be February 2th.
