Jamey Black Wins the ABA Tournament on Lake Hamilton
Jamey Black Wins on Lake Hamilton!!!

Division 47, Arkansas held its third qualifying tournament of the 2012
season on Lake Hamilton 10 Dec 2011. Early morning temperatures in the
low 30’s provided a frost on everyone’s rigs prior to take off. The day
warmed up a bit and it was a great day of fishing on Lake Hamilton with 22
5-fish limits weighed. 37 anglers weighed in 131 fish for a total weight of
235.55 lbs.
Jamey Black of Sheridan, Arkansas hammered a solid Lake Hamilton limit
and took home $863.00 with 5 bass that weighed an impressive 19.46 lbs
including Big Bass of the day at 5.52 lbs. Jamey threw his Black's Bass
Umbrella in 15 to 25 feet of water. Greg Carpenter of Royal, Arkansas
grabbed second place with a total weight of 13.80 lbs. Jack Wood of
Benton, Arkansas earned third place with 12.51 lbs.
These anglers acquired valuable points to insure their entry into the division’
s two-day championship on Lake Ouachita in Apr 2012 and the American
Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held on Grand Lake, OK in
the fall of 2012. Their points are also being used to determine the divisional
angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division will
represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round and compete for
a brand new fully rigged Triton boat and a spot in the Bassmaster Weekend
Series National Championship on Sam Rayburn in 2012.
Next Divisional Tournament: This division’s next tournament will be 7
January 2012 on Lake Ouachita launching out of Mountain Harbor Resort.
